Faculty of Arts and Humanities in the University of Tartu is the leading research center for humanities in Estonia. We have a special responsibility in preserving and promoting national sciences as well as teaching languages and cultures of the world. The Faculty of Arts and Humanities hosts a large number of visiting lecturers from abroad to enrich the students' academic experience. By virtue of international links with many European universities has studying abroad become an integral part of our students' studies.

The exhibition "Poetics of Survival" opens on May 9th at 3:00 PM with an English-language panel discussion focusing on the poetics of survival, endangered species, the intersection of science and creative culture, as well as inclusive methods in education. The discussion will feature students Marta Kucza and Oscar Miyamoto with the Professor Timo Maran and Jane Remm. The panel will take place in Jakobi 2-114 (Tartu). The the following day, on May 10th at 1:00 PM, there will be a curator's tour of the exhibition at the Philosophicum Hall Gallery (foyer of Jakobi 2).
