Before training:
1. read the Estonian Code of Conduct for Research Integrity (Estonian text: here)
2. read The European Code of Conduct for Research Integrity
3. watch two introductory videos on research ethics.
The first video is a general introduction to ethics, so please watch if you feel that you need some background there. Available here. (Kadri Simm, research integrity counsellor for the Faculty of Arts and Humanities in UT, 24 minutes).
The second video is compulsory; it is a 35-minute intro lecture into research ethics/integrity broadly, as well as an overview of research integrity at the University of Tartu. Available here. (Kadri Simm)

11.00 – 12.00  Who am I as a researcher? My role in research. (Self-declaration approach, ‘goodness’ in research, subjectivity statement) (Anu Tammeleht)
12.00 – 12.45  Lunch break (Jakobi 2-115)
12.45 – 13.30  Solving ethical dilemmas based on values game methodology. (Mari-Liisa Parder)
13.30 – 14.15  How to solve ethical dilemmas? Tools for ethical analysis (ethical principles, ethical analysis steps). (Anu Tammeleht)
14.15 – 14.30  Break
14.30 – 15.30  Ethical dilemmas in PhD students’ everyday life. Dealing with various cases/dilemmas, utilising ethical analysis steps (group-work + reflection)
15.30 – 16.00 Conclusions.
