Guest lecture "Traditional patterns in Latvian culture and design"
All those interested are invited to the lecture "Traditional Ornament in Latvian Culture and Design" on 8 December at 6:15 p.m., where Sindija Anča, a graduate of the Art Academy of Latvia and a doctoral student at the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Latvia, will explore the deeper meaning of traditional Latvian ornament.

Shedding light on the abyss: perspectives from German and Baltic cultural history
On 26 August at 16:00, the co-edited volume "Der Abgrund in deutscher und baltischer Kultur / The Abyss in German and Baltic Culture" will be presented at the University of Tartu Philosophicum, Jakobi 2, room 336. The book is edited by Marco Pajević and Jaanus Sooväli.
